I bought two of these for my son's Naturepedic crib mattress. They are very soft and don't feel like plastic and aren't crinkly. I can't speak to the waterproofness because we haven't been able to test that yet but I expect they will stand up. Ordering and shipping with BabyJoy was easy and the products arrived very quickly.
